OUR PROGRAMS:

All of our programs operate under the same mentality: “Quality, not quantity.” At KCK, we keep our numbers at a very manageable level as we work through a 4–6 month waiting list, on average. By keeping our numbers low, we’re able to fine-tune each dog’s training and help them reach their full potential in a timely manner. Each dog is treated as part of our family, and we build a special relationship with every dog that comes through our program. All of these things are essential for success and help set us apart from other kennels and trainers across the country.

Obedience Course

At Kiokee Creek Kennels, everything we do is guided by one simple philosophy: Quality, not quantity. Rather than filling our kennel to capacity, we intentionally limit the number of dogs in our programs, which often results in a 4–6 month waiting list. This allows us to provide every dog with the individual attention, consistency, and care they deserve.

By maintaining a manageable number of dogs, we're able to tailor each training program to the individual dog, fine-tuning their skills and helping them reach their full potential as efficiently and effectively as possible. We don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach—every dog learns differently, and we adapt our training to meet their unique needs.

Most importantly, every dog that comes through our doors becomes part of the Kiokee Creek family. We take the time to build trust and lasting relationships with each dog, creating an environment where they can thrive. This commitment to personalized care, exceptional training, and meaningful relationships is what truly sets Kiokee Creek Kennels apart from other kennels and training facilities across the country.

Obedience Lessons (virtual available)

Hesitant about sending your companion off for two months? Our one-on-one lessons may be just what you and your dog need. These lessons are designed to give you the knowledge, confidence, and structure necessary for you and your pet to be successful. They can be conducted at our facility or in the comfort of your dog’s own home. We schedule one lesson per week and continue progressing until we meet our goals together!

Finished Gundog

Our Finished Gundog Program is an intensive eight-month program designed to develop a highly skilled, dependable hunting companion capable of performing in virtually any hunting situation. During the first four months, we establish a solid foundation through advanced obedience and basic gundog training, ensuring your dog is confident, responsive, and reliable both at home and in the field.

The final four months focus on advanced retriever work, teaching your dog to sit on the whistle, take hand signals, and complete blind retrieves on both land and water. These advanced skills allow your dog to successfully retrieve birds they did not see fall, giving you complete control and confidence in even the most challenging hunting environments.

This is our most popular training program and the standard we recommend for hunters looking for a polished, versatile retriever. Built on years of proven success, our Finished Gundog Program has helped produce some of the finest finished gundogs in the country. By the time your dog graduates, they'll have the knowledge, discipline, and field experience needed to perform at a high level season after season.
